Method

Group stands in a circle.

One player points at another player and says You.

The player who was pointed at immediately says YES.

The first player begins walking slowly across the circle towards the second player who points to a new person and the process begins again.

Teaching notes

This is about flow. You should be able to get to a point where several players are crossing the circle at once.

To be successful at this game you need to be able to change your attention from highly focussed to generally focussed. Eye contact with one person vs being open to the whole group.

Also known as You.

Variations

You can use people's names to turn this into a name game - see level 3 of the Name game.

You can also do a version where people walking across the circle can be picked. This means they stop wherever they get to in the middle of the circle and this becomes a new 'node' in the game and people can walk to there instead. Brain melting fun.
