The group walks around the room in a random pattern, moving into space wherever they can and avoiding merely circling.
The facilitator has several instructions they can deploy:
STOP The groups stops moving
GO The group begins moving again
TURN Everyone individually makes a sharp turn
CLAP The group claps their hands
HOP The group each does a single hop on one leg
When they have got the hang of that, reverse several commands - so STOP means GO and vice versa.
Try and catch them out and increase the frequency of commands until everyone stops being able to do it/ starts laughing.
This is a great game to teach play, failure, group cohesion and the joy of movement.
The more you WANT to do it correctly, the more likely you are to get it wrong.
