This game can be played with a whole group or else divide the class in half.
The teacher says "Oh mighty goddess show me a ..." and then names something - an object, a location or a concept.
The group must then form that thing with their bodies.
No talking.
The stage picture can be static or gently moving like a GIF.
The no talking is important. It takes performers making immediate and decisive choices and really watching each other to make it work.
Students must make a single picture (as opposed to individual ones).
If you've divided the class in half, get them to challenge each other - like a pretentious theatre geek version of the Run DMC vs Jason Nevis video.
This exercise used to be called Oh mighty Isis but was changed because ... well, you get it.
You can combine this exercise with Ensemble walking for a lovely theatrical creation game.
