Method

Stand opposite your partner.

Clap at the same time then make one of the following moves:

Hands to the right 👉🏽

Hands up high 👐🏽

Hands to the left 👈🏽

After you make each move, you clap.

You are not trying to mirror each other. Each move is made independently.

If you DO make the same move - clap, do a high ten, yell "WOO!" and then return to the sequence.

A normal turn might flow as follows:

clap, different moves, clap, the same move, clap, high ten WOO, clap, different moves, clap different moves, clap, same move, clap, high ten WOO, clap...

Teaching notes

You are not trying to beat each other. You are working together.

Start slow. Find your rhythm. Work up to going as fast as you can.

You will have a different rhythm with each partner. Change partners half-way through.

You have to run towards failure. If it goes wrong, throw up your hands, turn in a tight circle and say HOORAY!

Some people call this Dutch Clapping because I'm an idiot.
